Disclaimer: I won't be spoiling anything major here but I'm going to be negative about Dragon Age: the Veilguard.
I really wanted to be excited for Dragon Age: the Veilguard, but the first reviews are basically confirming everything I was worried about. Honestly, it hurts a lot, but at the same time I'm a bit relieved to see that even people who played the whole game reach the same conclusions as I do, which are:
1- The Veilguard oversimplifies and sanitizes everything. You're kind or you're mean. You're good or you're bad. No dilemma, no grey. The main antagonists couldn't be less complex or more evil. The factions and the characters we already know are so simplified they sometimes look like caricatures of themselves. Three reviews openly compare the game to Marvel or Disney movies. The companions, of course, all like each other, and I hope you're fine with Rook talking to them like they're kids. You've been a flirt with everyone? Don't worry, as soon as you're engaged in a romance, everyone else will conveniently forget they wanted to bed you a minute ago. The found family trope must be protected at all costs. Which lead me to my second point.
2- God forbid there's anything problematic or nuanced - you know, things that could lead to believable, profound, flawed cultures (or to *shivers* Twitter backlash, I guess). As a result, past storylines are weakened. The assassins that tortured Zevran and made him want to kill himself are now romantic defenders of their city. Dorian and Krem's stories seem to belong to another world, as does Merrill's life goal. Kiss Anders' internal struggles and Solas' mystical tales goodbye: you can now see Lucanis' demon and Solas' memories. And did you know the companions had originally been written with specific sexual orientations? I'm okay with everyone being bi. I'm less okay with everyone's identities being erased for the sake of attracting more players.
3- The Veilguard assumes the player has no litteracy and no memory whatsoever. At best, it assumes you've never played a RPG. Forget about complex political and religious plots. Subtlety is a thing of the past. You're constantly reminded of what just happened or what you need to do. You know, just in case you forgot it five times. Or in case you are so stupid you don't know you just sassed Solas or clicked on a romance option.
4- The world is lifeless and lacks cohesion. The cities are full of people that don't look alive at all -- no resident, no guard gives a damn about what you're doing. The different atmospheres, that the companions are supposed to embody, don't always mesh well together.
5- You're not here to shape the world, you're here to watch. Of course, your past choices don't matter either. I wouldn't have believed it a year ago. Your decisions will shape your companions' stories, and you have another important decision at the end, but that's nearly everything. Moreover, you're told exactly what consequences your (few) choices will lead to. Several times, of course.
6- Gameplay > roleplay. The locations are designed for combat and not for the plot. Roleplaying is openly described by several reviewers as a weak spot. Rook's path is very linear. Different dialogue options usually lead to the same outcome. Don't even think of being anything else than a good guy. Sometimes you can be a little stern, as a treat. But don't worry, everything's already planned out for you. You don't have to worry your pretty little head. And the Maker knows it's pretty, and that the CC is inclusive, because that's all the journalists have been talking about for three months.
I'm just bleeding words at this point but entering the Fade was supposed to be a big deal. Mass Effect devs joining the Veilguard team wasn't supposed to mean the ancient elves had sci-fi equipment. Past games choices having an impact were supposed to be a given. The mysteries of Thedas were not supposed to all have the same explanation or even an explanation at all.
I can look past the unreadable expressions and nonexistent lip-sync painted on clay-plastic faces but I can't look past all of this. But the game is smooth, the world looks beautiful, and the gameplay is interesting, if you like puzzles a concerning amount.
A shame that's what I care about the least.

Linked Universe x Reader Fairy Tale Collection
A gift for @luimagines , thank you for listening to my rambles and for writing the original prompt and all your work in the fandom so far, it's just the opening chapter in a full fic, and I'm not fully satisfied with it nor all that good of a writer an English is not my first language, but I did my best XD.
Once again, thank you.
-Just an Anon on a Stroll 🐚/WintertimeStoryteller.
Opening Act, Scene I
It was a cool, beautiful summer night, the fields of Hyrule beautiful under the moon's light, the stars shone, and the fire crackled merrily away. to the side there was the sounds of lighthearted chatter as everyone finished settling in for the night as Wild took over cooking duties, it's been a while since you've started traveling with the Chain and peaceful as it was, traveling on the road for so long and never knowing when you'd all be spirited away again by a portal to face the shadow and it's tricks could leave anyone on edge and homesick.
Hence, with a night as lovely as this, it was the perfect time for stories to get the group to relax, and today was your turn, everyone likes tales of many kinds, and you had many from your world to tell, as many as you remembered anyway, and it was always a treat to see the heroes of Hyrule look forward to you telling them and a balm to your soul and theirs. A simple and nice distraction.
"-And so the doorknob was placed onto the door, everyone in the family and village held their breath, a beat later. And the house was engulfed by a warm, golden light, one of the hinges moving on it's own as if to welcome them all back inside as their gifts returned, causing celebration to spread through the hidden village. Now finally reunited, they could step forward to a brighter tomorrow as one no matter what they'll face, the end." You finished, pausing to take a big breath and a sip of water to soothe your parched throat, trying to condense an entire one hour movie into a a different format can take a lot of time. At least you didn't add in the songs.
Flushing slightly as you try to ignore the eyes of your enraptured audience, had anyone told you a few months before that you'd be stuck in Hyrule with arguably some of the strongest men in it's history in what's basically an almost textbook definition of the Hero's Journey, you'd have probably laughed in their face. Now here you are, telling stories from your world around a campfire, with two long since dozed off Heroes by your side.
Honestly, even if without finding out just how you were going to set up your bedroll with Sky and Wind both pinning your legs down wasn't a minor issue, you probably wouldn't have it any other way.
"That was probably one of the more sweet stories you've told yet." Came from Twilight, ruffling your hair with a smile, Hyrule nodding from his side and chiming in with a head tilt, "It's fairly open ended though, isn't it? It's not like the problem was really solved. What if the house starts cracking again?"
"He's right, it can't have been that simple as just 'hugging and talking it out.'" came the scoff from Legend, derisive as he aided Four in sharpening the Chain's weapons for another day on the road. The smith lightly elbowing him on the side, making you chuckle.
Humming while shifting just enough so your leg won't fall asleep, you answer, "Well, clearly it isn't, problems like the ones told in this story aren't just solved in a day and all. It's difficult to break a bad habit, or to try not to strive for perfection or notice you're wrong. But it's a step in the right direction no? So it's worth something."
"I see, so basically like scars."
"Precisely!" Came your nod to Hyrule as you smiled warmly at him. His ears twitched, how cute, "Can't exactly swing a sword at a wound and hope it goes away after all, it will heal in time, even if the marks remain."
"Have any other good ones for today, o' lauded storyteller? Be a nice thing to fall asleep to, a beautiful voice telling us even more lovely stories." Came a faint nudge from Warriors as he winks, you lightly push him back with a small smack to the shoulder, playful in nature even as he leaned back, mock wounded, it brings a smile to your face, "Flattery will get you nowhere, I did say I'd rotate them didn't I? I won't go back to your favorite just yet."
"Worth a try anyway."
"Oh! Could we maybe have that one about the girl in the tower? It's been a while since you've told that one." Asked Wild eagerly as he handed you a bowl of soup, which you gratefully accepted, it smelled divine and honestly? It is a fantastic motivator in getting you to agree. Besides you can't really go wrong with Rapunzel, it's one of the classics for a reason.
"Or you could surprise us, no pressure." Chimed in Four from his side of camp, "You honestly seem to know a lot of them, why not tell us one you really like instead? To make it fair." He smirks a bit, "Although if one about a certain little brave mice is your favorite..."
"Don't think I don't see your angle mister." You make a small 'I have my eyes on you' gesture towards him, making the Hero of Minish raise his hands in surrender, you both giggle, "Well, I wouldn't say I know that many...", You chuckle sheepishly behind your soup, "I just heard many back home in many ways and my memory is decent enough, is all. Hm... Do you think it's getting too late for one more, Time? I'll retell the one from today later on when it's my turn again, it's only fair everyone gets to hear it rather than miss out since Wind and Sky fell asleep midway too."
The leader of the group, who had just returned from his shift with the Hero of Calamity and The First Hero and was just in the process of putting most of his armor down turned to you, voice steady as he inclines his head, "We'll need to move on early, but there's not too much rush so one more should be fine. Thank you, (Reader)."
"Oh? Find anything interesting?" Asked Warriors, helping Legend and Four organize and put away the weapons (and failing in snagging the fire rod, from what you can see).
"We discovered a village up further ahead, if we all wake up bright and early tomorrow it won't be that much of a walk. It's close by, but it's best if we rest here for today." He nods to you, smiling slightly, it really wasn't much, but it warmed you how eager they all could get for a story, "So by all means, the floor is yours. Let's see what you can come up with."
"No pressure at all with that, I'm totally not nervous." You playfully rolled your eyes.
"Not at all, you have always done a brilliant job without asking for anything back in and out of the battlefield. We have no reason to believe it will be different now when you've been an incredible storyteller as well." Reassured First, coming by to sit by the fire, from the corner of your eye. You see Calamity nodding along, subtly sitting close and leaning against your other side, Wild giving him an amused look at his anticipation but wisely not calling him out on it as he all but threw himself onto Twilight's side, burrowing and getting comfortable underneath his cloak as the Ordonian yelped, almost dropping his soup. Swallowing the last of your soup (and your nerves) along with it and coughing into your fist to hide a blush, regretfully catching sight and ear of affirmations and nods around the camp as the boys rounded up against the hearth as the last of today's chores was done, you wrack your head for words and for which story to tell next.
Staying composed while having the unwavering support and attention of most of the heroes of Hyrule is quite nerve wracking and flattering in equal measure, can anyone blame you for being flustered?
You had already gone through most of the fairy tales from the West, from Snow White to Beauty and the Beast and Rapunzel and now Encanto, there's their original versions, the one's that weren't made into movies that is, but it would likely just put everyone on edge so we'll save those for another day, it's such a lovely night. You'd loathe to make it sour even if most of those had a good ending, but maybe... Something Eastern? To mix it up, a lightbulb goes off in your head as you grin, giggling, you have it! "Alright then, one more, since you all are so eager." You wink, "Usually the audience knows best. Now, let us start." Taking a deep breath, your voice takes on a lighter, soft tone, the heroes get comfortable, all of you miss the glare of crimson eyes deep in the darkness of the woods. Brief as it was, none would look too closely at a dark colored owl after all, "Once upon a time, there was a brave, noble prince, one day. A maddened, dying god attacked his people and he was cursed defending them, fated to die young..."
----------------------------------------------------------
"If you keep glaring like that, your face will get stuck in that ugly expression." Came a lilting, amused tune, poking the owl between the eyes, laughing as it attempted to bite them through the mask, "Although maybe it would be an improvement to that horrible, nasty mug. For a shape shifter you sure don't make good use of your abilities, are you sure you're up to the task? Having an awful looking performer not playing a wretched character is bad for business."
"Silence." Hissed the owl, flying out of their shoulder and, in a twisting, distinctively wrong surge of shadows. A form like a man's stand in front of the masked figure, unnaturally sharp teeth bared into a too wide smile, "You have your job, I have my own. The question is whether you'll deliver or not. Are you ready?"
The voice hummed, smirking as they pat the Shadow's shoulder, lightly pushing him away, "Don't worry your pretty, wretched head about it. You gave me all I need, play nice once they get here. And I'll give you your rupees worth, I'm not know to disappoint." They look up at the moon as the wraith snarls, but vanishes, laughing as they open a leather bound book, "What a lovely night indeed... Now, let's set the stage, and have some fun, shall we?"

*Sigh*
. . . I'd never thought I'd do this. . .
A few months ago, I said that I could never pull off proper fanfic because my fear of it not getting attention. But here I am, with several WIPs, taking a break from playing video games to create content along with other things, so it made all the weirder when I decided on what I wanted to do. . .
Folks, after a bit, I decided to make write my first ever, proper fanfiction. I'm not talking about just visual storytelling like my other AUs, I'm talking about actually ao3 level fanfic, except on tumblr. Unfortunately, I can't force on this entirely, due to having such a cramp schedule and my other WIPs
Till I finish those, I hoping I can begin work on the prologue before anything big happens. What exactly is this chunk of fiction about? Well don't ask. . .
Might you be interested in. . .
⏰Anything And Everything, All Of The Time⏰
~A Cookie Run Kingdom AU, Created By Mei_TheBear~
For those who don't know about my recent ramble, the plot of this AU is such; The Five Ancient Heroes accidentally summon our favorite sci-fi eldridge being and cyprid, Timekeeper, and have to be their main sources of entertainment. Originally, I made this AU to comeback the lack of content we've been getting with these six, and it ended becoming way bigger. I had so many other ideas for this AU, one of making TK Pure Vanilla Cookie's long-lost siblings. But after a few tweets, I ended up with something I'm generally happy with
But that, however, is now why I made this. I made this post to explain major factors in the story (roles, etc.) That without, may confuse first-time readers. So, if you're reading this now, you're in luck. Let's get into it!
Millennia Tree and the other legendaries probably plays the biggest role in the main plot. MT was also the closest with Timekeeper before the "incident." Key word here is "was," in my AU, they have an ex-boyfriend/crazy ex-girlfriend relationship.TK is obsessed in MT, in more ways than one, wanting to do more than put his head on a spike
Twizzly Gummy plays a major role in the story, starting the domino-effect that led to the Timekeeper being freed. Other than that, Twizzly is going to be the "Sammy Lawrence" of the story, influenced by TK and treating them like a god. Clotted Cream Cookie will also play a big part in this. Playing as our antagonist, he became fixated on the Timekeeper and wanting to know to anything and everything about them, nearly being driven to break of insanity trying to find a possible weakness. Characters like Gingerbrave won't be as important, but will serve as support for Clotted Cream and will make appearances
Anyone that exposed themselves all types of different media be prepared, there's going to be a lot of references to different songs, movies, musicals, tv shows, even other video games, all of which well be tied into the story. Speaking songs, I have tons of songs planned for this AU, we are talking about the Timekeeper; hard to say they wouldn't be a fan of musical theater
Another thing is slight similarities between the backstories of Timekeeper and Dark Enchantress, I'm saying "slight" because I've recently done a bit tweaking to TK orginal story. Timekeeper, becoming the way they are through boredom, whilst White Lily Cookie turning into DE was an act of curiosity
Speaking of curiosity, the first half of the story I view as a cautionary tale in two ways:
1. The dangers of curiosity
How we as a society try to find logic in what is unknown. We a need to question every little detail to have a better understanding of it. And how some are better unsolved. . .
2. Don't be cocky
Doesn't matter who you are, your status, how many weapons you have or how much a$$ you kick on a daily; they'll always someone bigger and stronger, ready to take you down. Whether that be from jesus christ or time itself, they'll always someone after you
Tldr: 'Anything and Everything, All of The Time' will officially become a fanfic on tumblr, not ao3 though- I made this post to prepare you for the possible sh*t storm you'll read. I do plan on making and posting a prologue the next month given the chance, so that's something to be on the lookout for
And as always, stay tuned^^

It sure is integral, but people love to gloss over it, which makes for a great social commentary. What is iconic is how Ella is handling the abuse, not the abuse itself.
Rant time:
While sure they could've explained more on how all of this exactly came to be, I can see why they didn't as there would be a lot of explaining to do and such info dump would detract from the main plot. It would be better if we had like some sort of extra short (preferably live-action so people won't deny it being canon as animated shows or novels often get brushed off or retconned, but with live-action, they would at least try to pretend they are not retconning shit) that would go into more detail instead of leaving for the audience to guess. But then again, I do see a clear problem with fans nowadays on how plenty will dramatically miss the point.
Like I've seen so many critics (with which I agree) about how Netflix ATLA has characters just straight up tell the audience what they're about instead of showing them through actions, but I think the reason behind it is that at this point the creators of such shows just not trust people to be able to read between the lines. Now I feel sincerely sorry for the ATLA fan base regarding this and I know that the fan base can absolutely be attentive to detail to the point where even the creators wouldn't think of such nice parallels, but I also know that even this fan base is not safe from people who miss the point.
Multiple fan bases have the same issue, and honestly, I would not like to cater to such people and instead encourage them to develop critical thinking skills and analytical and observant skills by specifically just never telling them and making them go figure stuff and then confirming whether or not they are correct or where did their assumptions went wrong because really, we should be getting smarter, not dumber, we should know how to fish by now we should not wait for someone to give us the fish.
Now back to the main point of our conversation: while I agree they could've tried to explain the entire situation more, I do think the fans should actually put more effort into analyzing their source material and drawing their own conclusions but also be critical of their own ideas and come to the conclusions that can't be debunked by anyone but the film itself, therefore also not holding into assumptions that just don't work within the movie (like Ella being the culprit of the prank even though literally everything in the movie screams "NO" towards this entire idea).
And I'll say that you can still pretty much tell what Auradon is about. Auradon is pretty much an AU that connects all the worlds together by putting them in the same environment and period (modern AU) and is only loosely connected to the original fairy tales that are more of inspiration and even "glorified retellings of the events" rather than the actual true events. This explains why there are multiple race swaps, the development of technology and fashion, and how they're all alive. Sure, there are some outlines like Rapunzel for example who sends her daughter Meadow/Zellie to the Merlin Academy, or how the events of Sword in the Stone also probably happened before Merlin Academy was established, though all in all, plenty of fairy tales of the Disney characters we know are now happening in modern AU adapted to a more modern setting that works by modern standards of storytelling, making Auradon reasonably exist like that since all kingdoms exist at the same time, it's just not until recently that they were united.
For the life of me, I can NOT understand how Chloe did not know about her mother's story when pretty much everyone else did. Mal made a point about how Fairy Godmother gave Ella a dress but couldn't help make her own daughter "pretty"(I say this as Jane is already beautiful). Chloe on the other hand was rather taken aback about seeing her mother in rags, and acted totally clueless about where her mom was staying at. Chloe even asked " I can't believe how awful her family was to her." How is it everyone else in the series knew about Cinderella's upbringing then her own flesh and blood? Not to mention Chloe at least knew about where Ella and Charming fell in love, i.e Castlecoming. So why is that the thing Chloe seems to only know of or been told of? Surely someone had to have told her the entire story of her mother becoming queen? It makes sense for Red not to know who Bridget used to be, but it's very farfetched for Chloe to seem completely unaware about the kind of person Ella was.

The Boys Who Wouldn't Grow Up - Chapter 1 🦇
Summary: An Alternate Universe where the story is swapped. Now David is the human teen with a new life in Santa Carla and Michael is the mysterious, local rebel with a dark secret. Everyone's roles are switched out and now our Biker Gang has been replaced with the rowdy boys Sam, Edgar, and Alan, causing mischief and enjoying being kids. David is a frustrated teen not ready to grow up and meet the expectations of his father. His brother, Marko, may be more carefree, but David finds solace in the Lost Boys.
Things aren't what they seem though~ 🦇🦇🦇🦇
Tumblr media
I was inspired to rewrite the movie story with the roles of our beloved characters switched. It's sort of a love letter to the original movie plot being more of a Peter Pan tale with younger kids. It'll deal with heavy topics like depression, anxiety, emotional manipulation, and other things, so I'll add warnings as needed.
This won't be exactly the same as the movie, but the basic plot will still be followed. Character personalities have either been swapped or changed entirely for this.
Role Swaps
David - Michael
Sam - Marko
Alan - Dwayne
Edgar - Paul
Max - Lucy
Widow Johnson - Grandpa
Maria - Star

The famous boardwalk of Santa Carla was always buzzing with excitement this time of year. The warm weather and miles of exciting games, rides, and food shacks drew in locals and tourists alike, offering an entire day’s worth of activities to enjoy. It was already fun during the beautiful, sunny days, but when nighttime came, that’s when the magic truly happened. An entire rainbow of lights illuminated the different sections of the boardwalk, capturing the attention of visitors with flashy displays. The light drew people in as if they were moths to a flame.
One of the most iconic spots to see on the boardwalk was the carousel, a lavish, luminous ride that had stood upon the boardwalk for decades. Though the passage of time had weathered down and faded the bright, colorful ride, it was still a classic that so many people loved to enjoy. Guests of all ages smiled and laughed while they spun around on ceramic horses and decorated benches as music from a forgotten era poured from the modern speakers. It was a little slice of heaven on the boardwalk.
While most people kept to themselves on the carousel, a small group of kids decided they were going to disturb the peace for others.
Three boys, all no older than 14, were laughing and joking as they ran down the length of the curved path. They were dressed in scuffed denim jeans and jackets, and colorful shirts. Each had some form of special earring hanging from at least one ear.
One boy had a red bandana wrapped around his forehead, no doubt inspired by seeing Rambo a few times. Another had two black stripes painted across his cheeks like a wannabe football player. The third and youngest-looking boy had fluffy hair with blond highlights and a freckled face, the perfect image of a Brat Pack member in the making. They were free-spirited kids, and while they were caught up in their own world, they were disturbing the peace of others.
Their rowdy behavior caused parents of other children to scowl, no doubt judging the way these boys had been raised. The three boys pushed and roughhoused with each other, causing them to bump into other people and the animal-shaped seats they rode on. The tension was rising, but the kids clearly didn’t care about the feelings of others. They probably didn’t have a care in the world at all.
Finally, a local surf gang leader decided to put the kids in their place when the freckled boy bumped into his girlfriend and didn’t bother to apologize for it. With anger in his eyes, he grabbed the boy by the collar of his shirt and hoisted him upward.
“The hell are you doing, you little asshole?!” the dark-haired meathead screamed in the boy’s face. Normally, a kid would be on the verge of tears from an adult shouting at them, but this kid barely bat an eye. Instead of fear, a devious smirk stretched across his face. That only made the surfer even angrier. He pulled his free hand back, ready to give the brat a black eye that would last for the rest of the summer.
However, when he pulled his fist back, he felt it lock in place, held tight by an iron-grip force.
He hadn’t expected it to be held back by a guy who looked fresh out of high school. A handsome young man with soft, brown waves of hair and piercing blue eyes smiled back at him, not breaking a sweat as he held the muscular arm tight in his grasp.
“I don’t think so, pal,” the young man said with a smile. Even with a pleasant expression on his face, his eyes were practically burning into the surfer. There was nothing but a deep, dark cloud of hatred behind those baby blues. The surfer was feeling uneasy, and the pain that was starting to spread through his arm wasn’t making him feel any better. Was this jerk trying to break his arm or something??
Before any more words could be said, a shrill, powerful squeak rang through the air, canceling out any of the music playing or the complaining from riders on the carousel. A boardwalk cop had shown up, blowing a whistle around his neck to get the attention of the obnoxious punks he’d been called over his walkie to deal with. Judging by the tired eyes and dark circles, this was certainly not his first time dealing with a stressful crowd.
“I told you and your brothers to stay off the boardwalk, boy” the officer scolded the oldest, identifying him as the caretaker for the band of troublemaking kids. His smile now traded for an annoyed grimace, the eldest reluctantly let go of the gang member’s arm.
His piercing gaze was now focused on the officer as if he was making threats with just a look in his eyes. Even if the officer didn’t believe this kid had it in him, the gaze was very uncomfortable. It was crazy how someone so innocent and nice-looking could have such a devious expression in just the eyes.
“Relax,” the young man assured the officer, his friendly smile now back on display “we were just leaving”
With a quick motion, the boy and his three younger brothers hopped off the now unmoving carousel. As they walked from the ride, the brother that had been grabbed was reluctantly let go by the gang member. With a brush down his wrinkled shirt and a quick middle finger flung in the direction of the others, he ran off to join his family. All the officer did was roll his eyes and motion for the surf gang to leave as well. He had enough excitement for one night.
It was a shame he was going to have to deal with more trouble later on in an entirely different way.
The officer hadn’t noticed since he was escorting the surf gang off the ride, but in the shadows behind the carousel, the eldest kid and his three younger brothers were staring down the man who had interrupted their fun game. They were all restless and pent up with energy, even more so than an average kid.
“Don’t worry, guys” the eldest assured them, not once taking his eyes off the target. “The night isn’t over yet. We can get a bite to eat instead”
Tumblr media
It was a new day in Santa Carla. The bustling nightlife was replaced with the warm glow of sunshine on miles of sand and city streets. Even with it being just the start of the day, there were plenty of joggers, surfers, and kids anxious to get to the boardwalk. Colorful cars of various makes and models sped down the roads, full of people with places to be as soon as possible. Even if New York City was technically the city that never slept, Santa Carla could easily take that title as well.
One of the cars driving down the road was a cherry red corvette, shining in the sun from a recent wash and wax job. Inside were four passengers (or rather three human passengers and a white-furred German Shepherd), making their way to their new home.
“Ooh! Boys! You’re gonna love this song, it was one of my favorites back in the day,” the man behind the steering wheel exclaimed. With a flick of the volume dial, the silky smooth music of “My Girl” by The Temptations poured out the car speakers. He moved his shoulders side to side, feeling a groove from the song of his youth.
This man, Max Johnson, was a slightly awkward but very well-mannered businessman. He was driving himself and his two boys to sunny California. Max had never married, unfortunately never truly finding the right lady to settle down with. Still wanting to create a loving family, he adopted two boys from the foster care system when they were just under a year old.
It was hard being a single parent, but Max wouldn’t have changed it for anything in the world. He adored his sons with all his heart and hoped they knew it.
The two sons, David and Marko, shared no biological relationship with each other, but still had a strong, brotherly bond that never broke. However, each of their own relationships with their father had gotten a little bumpy when they both became teenagers. Max knew this day would come when his boys would enter adulthood and want independence and their own choices. It was just hard getting close with them like he did when they were both little.
Looking at David in the passenger seat next to him, Max almost didn’t recognize his own son. His mousy brown hair and cheerful smile from his youth were now replaced with bleached spikes, heavy undereye makeup, and a permanent frown. David wasn’t even looking at him, instead just gazing out the window, no doubt thinking about how much he hated this trip. He hadn’t exactly been shy about saying that.
“C’mon Marko, sing with me! I guess you'd say…what can make me feel this way-” Max crooned with the radio. He had his attention on Marko now, looking at the younger Johnson son in the rearview mirror. Marko just chuckled and continued to scratch their dog, Thorn, behind the ears, ultimately passing on his father’s song request.
While it still hurt to be ignored by his children, Max was at least grateful Marko didn’t resent him as David did. He was a very go-with-the-flow kid and was a bit more optimistic about Santa Carla.
“Why the long faces, boys?” Max asked, trying to cheer them both up. “This is just for the summer and then we’ll be home again. I promise! Your grandma just needs us right now”
Grandma Johnson, a widow of nearly a decade, was recovering from a recent set of knee surgeries, and couldn’t get around her house like she once could. Max worried terribly about his mother, and despite her insistence that she could take care of herself, her son had packed some suitcases and was now headed to her home with his own children. Stubbornness certainly ran in the family, and David was currently proving that.
“Why the hell do we even bother having a summer break if we gotta spend it with the living fossil herself?” he grunted, not taking his eyes off the ocean that they passed.
Max sighed, not appreciating the attitude. It seemed like that’s all he ever got from his eldest lately. He really wished David would start acting a bit more mature, especially since he’d be graduating and heading off into the real world soon. That tone and look wouldn’t get him far.
Watch your language,” Max said sternly. He turned the music back down, wanting to be heard properly. Then again, it would be hard to do that since he could hear Mötley Crüe at full blast coming from the headphones connected to his Walkman. While David didn’t understand the sappy, old stuff his dad listened to, Max in turn couldn’t stand the loud, overwhelming music the kids were listening to today. Like father, like son.
“Look, I know you wanted to enjoy your last summer break before senior year, but I think this would be a great thing for both you and Marko” Max explained. He glanced into the rearview mirror again, smiling at the younger son. He was relieved when Marko smiled back and gave a little cheeky wave.
“This place may not be your cup of tea, but it will show you some hardships people face. There are a lot of homeless kids here, some that even go missing. I think it’ll give a great lesson in gratitude and working hard for a good future!”
Max really did mean well with his advice, but all David heard was more nagging about growing up. Marko was a bit more carefree and was willing to take things one day at a time, but David felt like he was losing more and more of his youth by the second. He often fought with his father about the future. College, jobs, a career path, a family to support one day. Growing up was the last thing he wanted to do, especially if he risked turning into a total killjoy like his father.
In truth, David struggled a lot more than Max realized. He often had little motivation to get by each day. The times when he blasted music and shut out the world helped take his mind off his fears and insecurities. Nobody told him growing up was so fast and overwhelming, and he hated every minute he was reminded of it. In a way, he envied his brother for not worrying about it so much.
“Whatever. I just want my own room when we get there” he said, turning up the volume even louder. He’d rather listen to “Looks That Kill” than his father. Unsatisfied, but still hopeful, Max turned his attention back to the road. He’d help David see the positive in this one way or another.
As David got lost in the music, he felt Marko lean forward and nudge him. He turned to his younger brother who pointed towards the sign they had just passed by on the road. In bright, red spray paint was “Murder Capital of the World” spread across the worn-out wood.
What a joke this was all turning out to be.

Thought Dump/Anxious Ramble
[QUICK WARNING: this is gonna have my unfiltered anxious thoughts here about getting people in trouble, backing out of things, feeling lost & scared & not knowing what to do. If you don't wanna read or deal with my stupid 15 year old anxiety, I completely understand, scroll on by]
Howdy hey! I've had....a terrible awful horrible no good very bad day. And this is that. But first! Some context for our tale.
So I am a self appointed not great person. I'm not a good role model. I do things that are kinda not what your supposed to. Namely, I go out at 2 in the morning and hang with my friends. But Cho, you may ask, how is that not what you're supposed to do? It's actually, where I live, illegal to go outside past 10 pm if you are my age. You can face fines for it. But I do it anyway, been doing it for about a year now. I have only EVER been caught ONCE, but that was by my parents as I sat on our basement floor. They brushed it off and let it be, so really, I've never gotten into any trouble for this. I typically had only gone out with my one girl friend, we'll call her Beth. But last month, I convinced my one guy friend to come out with me, we'll call him Tony. Tony is very new to it all, but Beth and I aren't. He hasn't gotten the entire stealth down pack yet. Which brings us to why I've been having a bad day.
Last night, since I was cat sitting for my grandparents, I had part of the house all to myself. Which fucking ruled, I could get in and out no problemo, and we could even chill at my place. Which we did. He came over, we played Smash (I did horrible), fucked around on Sims, and had a pleasant time. Now, it's a weekday. His dad and grandma wake up earlier in weekdays because...jobs. I asked when Tony wanted to be home by, he said we could leave at like 5:00 (10 minute walk, he'd be home at 5:10)....or he proposed he could stay later and wait for his dad to leave, so we'd leave at like 7:00, get him home at 7:10 (we actually ended up leaving at 7:20ish...so...). I said, as long as he was sure he wouldn't get caught, I was fine with that. We had a blast and then I walked with him most of the way home. I go home, sit down and judt kinda chill. Low and behold, I get a text. (All messages paraphrased for privacy sake):
Tony: Door in was stuck. Good news, my grandma was still home and let me in without asking any questions. Bad news, she might tell my mom that I was outside for no reason at 7:30. But maybe she won't!
Me: Just say you went on a walk after you got woken up by a cat. Don't tell the full truth, but certainly don't lie.
Tony: Yeah, I went for a walk and the door got stuck.
Me: Exactly
Okay....not ideal. But he has an alibi thought out and there's a chance he won't need it. I'm not that concerned. I go about my day, then I get a message on Discord at 5 something in the afternoon:
Tony: So, my mom found out. She's firm on me never doing this again and it all ends now. So, if we wanna do this again, then we're gonna need to wait a long while. I don't think she'll know I can contact you here, so let's chat here.
Me: oof
Tony: In hindsight, maybe we shouldn't have done it so often.
Me: Yeah, but for now lay low. Do everything you can to be helpful and good. Be an angel child and if your parents catch on, say that you just felt guilty and upset for dissapointing them.
Tony: I'll try to fix my sleep schedule as a start, try and get that in check
Me: Yeah, do that. That's a good idea.
Tony: also my mom has my phone. She looked through our texts and said if she caught us again, she'd tell your mom.
Now that....is beyond terrifying. If my mom knew I did this......I'd be dead. She'd cook me and serve me for dinner. My ass would get kicked into the year 3928. Oh, and another bit of context. I had been planning a movie day in two days for Tony and another friend of ours, let's call him Chris. Apparently Tony had not asked his mom yet.
Me: So how much trouble are you in rn, getting in more trouble to watch movies with Chris and I is not a smart idea.
Tony: Uh-huh...because asking to go to watch movies with the girl I've been sneaking out with is entirely clever.
Tony: also, she saw in your contact info that "she said I had a big dick" (inside joke)
Me: oh excellent
Tony: I dont think I ever told my fam you're gay
Me: least of our fucking concerns, we'll deal with that later. Right now I wanna get you in the clear.
Tony: can't do anything rn dude
So. Now onto my anxiety.
I am so fucking scared right now, because the entire time we've been doing this, I've preached that I'd rather take my fingernails off with a bottle opener than get him in trouble, which is true. I would so much rather get myself in trouble than him, and yet not only did I fail myself, I failed him. I told him repeatedly that I wouldn't let him get in trouble, and now he is and it's my fault. I should've remembered that his grandma woke up early too, he told me that. I should've reminded him. I didn't. Or I should've pushed for him to leave earlier or I should've kept him later. Or I should've never convinced him to join my stupid antics. And because of me and my faults, he's now in hot water. It is entirely my fucking fault. And not only did I get him in trouble, I could've run the risk of getting myself in trouble. Which is a death sentence in my house.
And also! That movie day? Yeah, so, Chris does soccer. And currently he had a very busy soccer lifestyle. His phone is also broken. So he had to put in literal effort to respond to me in the planning process. He just gave the okay for doing it. And now Tony can't go, and I don't wanna cancel on Chris after he A) said he was looking forward to it. And B) put in effort to make the time to respond to me and make this work for him. I'd feel like a bitch for cancelling. But most of the movies we are gonna watch were because Tony hadn't seen them. So I don't wanna watch them without him, but I don't wanna have it be really awkward with just me and Chris for like....8 and a half hours (the original planned time, given our movie list runtimes). I'm not really an entertaining person! Especially not for that long. I wouldn't know what to do! And I don't know if we could shorten the time or if I could even be sure that he would see my messages! So I can't cancel it or keep it going.
Overall I don't know what to do and I'm panicked and stressed. I feel so useless.....
If anyone has advice...I could really use it. Because I.....I messed up....I messed up big time

Just say NO to Author Intrusion
Tumblr media
The Fourth Wall is the Audience. -- Every time the writer addresses their story's audience --their Readers-- they are violating the fourth dimension, or wall, of that story's Reality.
These violations are known as: Author Intrusions.
Author Intrusions show up as little comments that express the author's personal feelings on what's happening in their story, or heavily hint at things to come during the story.
Author Intrusions are a Bad Idea.
----------- DISCLAIMER: This is how I was taught to write for publication purposes by my professional editors. If you don't want to do it this way -- Don't. (Less competition for me.)
WHY Author Intrusions are a Bad Idea.
Author Intrusions jar the Reader out of the mental movie they've generated while reading because the Author keeps rudely shoving them out of the story to remind them that They know something the Reader doesn't.Compare it to watching a movie you haven't seen before with a friend that won't shut up about how cool the next scene is.
Tumblr media
See this shit? This is Author Intrusion.
Identifying Author Intrusions:
The most common form of Author Intrusion is when the writer plants overly-obvious hints of things to come addressed directly to the Reader.
Examples:
In hindsight, he would be thankful for his overreaction.
Unfortunately, his choices had truly never been his own.
If only they'd realized how wrong they were.
These are normally found at the end of a chapter, or book, but I've also seen them posted smack in the middle of a scene in progress. They had no idea what consequences their choice would bring.
I have been told that these particular intrusions are meant to be a form of Foreshadowing.
This shit is NOT Foreshadowing.
True Foreshadowing symbolically hints at things to come. It Does Not point-blank TELL the Reader that something is coming.
More on actual Foreshadowing: TV Tropes: Foreshadowing
I have also been told that this form of Author Intrusion is supposed to create suspense and entice the Reader to read the next installment.
This shit does NOT create Suspense either.
The truth is, this sort of cheap-assed teaser-spoiler Does Not add suspense because it entirely Removes the surprise factor of what is coming.
Suspense is about Anticipation. It's about waiting for 'the other shoe to fall'. When an author point-blank announces that there's another shoe, all that lovely anticipation is halved because the Reader now knows for a fact that this shoe WILL fall -- that something IS going to happen.
THINK: How can anyone be surprised if they're already expecting a surprise?
If you want to create Suspense, don't TELL the Reader outright that something is going to happen. Instead, SHOW IT by planting Clues; the butcher knife was missing from the kitchen drawer, and give Hints through ominous Sounds, creeping Shadows, character Body Language, and stilted Dialogue that something is going to happen.
Tumblr media
Authors: Keep Your Opinions to Yourself!
The next most common form of Author Intrusion happens when the writer just can't keep their personal comments about certain characters, or what's happening in their story to themselves.
This is particularly virulent in fan-fics written by new writers who get over-excited about what they're writing.
Cut that shit out!
Literally, cut all that shit Out of your work.
Us readers do not want anyone interrupting our stories with their opinions, feelings, or comments about the story we're reading. That includes comments from the Author. Save that crap for the Author Notes.
However...
Tumblr media
"Lines like those (in my fan fiction anyway) are actually meant as red flags; a sort of, "Hey, pay attention, I'm doing something over here!" This is because, in the...years I've been writing fan fiction, I've noticed that the majority of 'new readers' (i.e. those new to fan fiction,) will not pay attention [to what they're reading] and will inundate me with questions that are easily answered if they did. With lines like those thrown in, the questions are fewer and I don't have to waste time explaining things that don't need explanations." -- Annoyed FF Writer
While all that might sound like a good excuse -- it really Isn't.
When the author inserts comments about a character or situation happening right there in the middle of the story just to make it easier for lazy-assed readers to figure out what's going on, those comments are nothing more than Spoilers for the rest of us.
Spoiling the Story for Lazy-Assed Readers -- is a BAD IDEA.
While some readers love to be babied like that, the rest of us readers don't. The rest of us are paying close attention and we love ferreting out the author's little hints exposed by the plot's progression and character reveals. We are reading specifically to discover what the heck is going on.
Spoilers strip all the suspense and discovery --the most enjoyable parts of the story-- right out.
I don't know about you, but once all the surprises are gone from a story, I have no reason to keep reading that story.
Fixing Spoilers
If the Reader doesn't get what happened and the information to set them straight IS NOT actually present in the story, then yeah, the Writer messed up.
To fix this, they should REWRITE and REPOST the Relevant Chapter ASAP! NOT answer their reader's query with any comment beyond, "Oh crap! Let me fix that real quick!"
If the Reader doesn't get what happened and the information to set them straight IS actually present in the story, meaning; the Reader simply missed it the first time around, then the Reader messed up -- not the Writer.
When this happens, the Writer should answer their query by politely telling that reader to Read the Chapter Again a little more carefully. NOT by giving them Spoilers!
Seriously, professional authors don't cater to that crap, neither should fan-fic writers.
The only thing catering to lazy-assed readers does is encourage those readers to bug other writers for spoilers -- and us other writers don't appreciate it.
As for Breaking the Fourth wall...
Tumblr media
Or is he?
Deadpool: Not actually Breaking the Fourth Wall. He is Narrating his own story.
Yes, Deadpool does address his audience throughout his comic books and movies. In his comics he even comments on the textboxes around him.
Tumblr media
Deadpool also freely admits that he's not exactly Sane.
However, addressing his readers, or watchers, or even his text boxes doesn't change the fact that Deadpool is The Point of View Character in both his comics and his movies. He's the one telling the tale. He's expected to comment on everything and everyone around him because that's what POV Characters do.
Deadpool just happens to be narrating his story out loud to the voices, and text boxes, in his own head. That there happens to actually be an audience of readers and movie watchers is entirely incidental.
Now if Stan Lee; the main author of Marvel Comics, popped into Deadpool's story, that would be Author Intrusion--
Oh, wait... He did.
Tumblr media
A...tasteful example of Author Intrusion. AKA: The Cameo.
Narration is Not Author Intrusion
The Narrator is The Point of View Character observing --and commenting on-- their part of the tale. If done Right, what is narrated is colored by that POV Character's thoughts, opinions, and comments about what is happening around them.
Tumblr media
Breaking the 4th Wall? Nope, just 1st Person POV.
Narration is not Author Intrusion because the author isn't telling the story, the POV Character is.
Deadpool, in both the comics and in his movies, uses First Person Point of View Narration. First Person POV can look like the character is Breaking the Fourth Wall, but they really aren't because Narration is supposed to address the audience. Think in terms of diary entries, or in Deadpool's case, a massive Selfie Video.
The only time Narration should ever be colored by the author's opinions is in a Self-Insert story where the author is the POV character--
-- or in a Fairy Tale.
Tumblr media
Fairy Tales were originally told Orally. They were spoken and acted out by a storyteller directly to their audience. The storyteller's opinions of what was happening were part of the act, rather like the Master of Ceremony for a play. When these tales were eventually written down by collectors, such as the Brothers Grimm, they wrote them in the oral style --author intrusions included-- simply because that's how they were told to the collectors.
Later writers, like Hans Christian Anderson, wanted their tales to be labelled Fairy Tales, so they used this oral style specifically so their stories would blend in with the much older collected Grimm's stories.
However, if the story is not a Fairy Tale--
Tumblr media
Don't Interrupt Your Readers!
Written stories are viewed in the imagination like a movie. So when the author pops in a comment to make their personal opinions known, it throws the reader out of the movie they're watching in their imaginations because someone is talking to them.
"But the whole story is the author's opinion!"
That's right, a writers has their whole story to express their personal opinions, so there is absolutely No Need for the author to interrupt their readers with additional comments on anything at all during the story.
If a writer absolutely positively must comment on what's happening in their story, an Author Note is where that shit belongs --or their personal blog, or whatever social media floats their boat-- nowhere else.
Author Intrusions: -- If you're Not writing a Fairy Tale -- Don't Do It.
Unless you're Stan Lee. (He can intrude wherever he likes.)

Fiction Thriller Books You Won't Want To Put Down
By Donald Sanders
The Girl on the Train is a novel that is told in the first-person point of view with three different narrators to keep things interesting. All of the narrators are women, and the story that is told is very fast-paced and exciting. That is why this is one of the top fiction thriller books that comes to people's minds when they think of this genre. Now that there has been a movie made out of it, Gone Girl has attained more popularity. It still holds up as a great novel with many twists and turns that keep you guessing. One of the interesting aspects of the book is that the reader isn't always sure if the narrator is being truthful. A great way to revitalize a classic genre is to put it in a contemporary setting with modern popular styles. That is what is accomplished in the fantastic book called Into the Water. This is a story about several women who drowned in a certain river and the mystery that surrounds it. Those who are fans of this genre are certainly familiar with Dan Brown and his work, and his book called Origin falls right into line with the quality of storytelling his fans have come to expect. This is the fifth in his Robert Langdon series, which is an important thing to keep in mind before running out to a bookstore and buying it. Like the other novels in this series, it contains plenty of conspiracies and symbology. Most people are familiar with the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown because of the movie. Those who enjoy the book know just how compelling of a read it is. It involves a symbologist and cryptologist who form a team to uncover an ancient Christian mystery. For many people, nothing would be scarier than not being able to remember the events of the previous day. It would put a person in a very vulnerable position, relying on those around you to help reconstruct previous events. SJ Watson plays out this scenario in Before I Go to Sleep, in which the main character suffers from amnesia and has only her journal to tell her that something is going on that is just not right. For anyone looking for a thrilling book with a female lead character, Sara Shepard's The Lying Game is a great thing to read. The story is centered around Emma Paxton, who first seeks out a girl who looks exactly like her, and then gets caught up in a game of lies that has been taken too far. The great thing about this novel is that it is the first in a series, so the reader can delve as deep as they like into this compelling tale of deceit. Australian author Jane Harper wrote a book called The Dry, which is about a small farming town where a federal agent believes some kind of conspiracy is happening. The agent has returned to the town, his hometown, for the first time in a decade to attend the funeral of his friend. Harper's rich details make this town seem as real as any other, although it is completely fictional.

Arvind Pandit-You Won't Ever Considered That Proudly owning A New Captain America Could possibly Be so Beneficial
D.C. specifically Steve as well as Bucky have some intimate moments in which add wonderful unwanted weight in direction of the tale and also will be also definitely a highlight of the plot.
Tumblr media
Another factor that I truly enjoyed wound up becoming Chadwick Boseman's introduction as T'Challa (Black Panther). Luckily the final 45 - 60 minutes deliver a variety of the greatest motion the particular certain series features truly offered. The movie truly spends just about any wide range of event on this guy carrying out the bunch regarding negative guy stuff and also it's with no significantly context, apart via he's somehow connected along with Bucky Barnes. I'm completely stunned they even place this negative guy inside the film, he ended up being for that reason useless. I discovered myself sensation virtually any bit bored using the film just before he have been introduced. May Be he previously Black Panther? Can he just flip outside Arvind Pandit Pune in order to be him right after having a certain event? It's not only the enormous deal, but even a new line of dialogue could possess cleared concerns up. manchester international sequence is just by far your actual greatest motion the particular certain series provides at any time wear screen along with is an acronym within its extremely very own as on their email list of certain very very best fight scenes ever. That Will does the task involving develop a relationship involving the audience also since the new versions regarding those characters that folks need to formerly turn out for you to be familiar with. An Additional be noticeable inside your plan associated with your perfect in inclusion to movie is going to be Paul Rudd's Antman. We didn't locate any kind of again story about which in turn aspect with the character. His character looked consequently rubbery along with video game cutscene like. Don't acquire me incorrect though, I find enjoyed all these movies. He ended up getting funny and also cool, even so there was absolutely no context with regard to him even becoming there. I recognize I covered the lot of stuff that I discovered certainly not completed well, nevertheless thirteen movies in, I anticipate these films to start comprehending problems from your past. Captain America: Civil war will get three along collectively having a half stars coming from five. Other minor complaints could be Vision and also Scarlet Witch scenes. Subsequent Winter Soldier also as Guardians inside the Galaxy, I believed these Marvel films ended up more most likely to start taking much more chances. It's mostly fine, but scenes involving Black Panther felt extremely fake. This do nothing with all pertaining to that movie or perhaps the characters. Nevertheless along with age Group associated using Ultron, Antman, in add-on to now Civil War, I can't aid nevertheless feel Marvel is planning to be creating variations concerning the actual identical movie. they Will possess a few genuinely funny moments collectively along with each as well as every other. I really feel Marvel really does any disservice to end up being able to be able to simply by themselves by just even showing he have been inside the actual film. Usually there ended up additionally utilizes involving CGI all through areas of your film that could take place in order to end up getting able to become practical, it practically seemed lazy. Relating To probably the most component Captain America: Civil War delivers an entertaining film that will get's somewhat bogged down for about the extremely first half of the particular actual film. while the new Spiderman was freaking awesome as well as inside almost all probability the particular very best area of the movie, he brings concerning every little thing just prior to his appearance to become in a place to really feel most certainly not important. Your actual Russo Brothers are incredibly skilled in creating intense as well as amazing fight scenes which will certainly really are usually a joy to be able to always be able to watch.
Tumblr media
Robert Downey Jr. will be as fast as as quickly as once again a new joy in order to end up being able to watch as Tony Stark in the non Avengers role. I personally input it since the sixth extremely very best behind The Particular Certain Avengers, Winter Soldier, Ironman, Guardians inside the Galaxy, and in addition Ironman three (What? This was a outstanding Shane Black film.) either approach though, go begin to begin to determine the movie. I am aware I'm coming off as not only a fan, I genuinely do appreciate these movies. these People make use associated with a scene shortly just prior to his superhero reveal environment up Peter Parker as well as Aunt May using Tony Stark. Spiderman type involving had exactly the actual same effect, yet I think his colors assisted trigger him to really feel a whole lot more practical. Viewing Vision seeking to complete human products has been funny and awkward, inside the same vein as Thor, but his or even her small side romantic stuff seemed via location along with incredibly unneeded. Black Panther looked awesome and also I can't delay to determine his movie. I wish Marvel would recognize that these films Arvind Pandit Kansas must evolve the bit much more for you to find yourself becoming capable of stay relevant to the folks they may need being entertaining, the actual ones that produced Ironman such a success, the fans concerning your origin material. I get got seen any number of YouTubers defending his character along with I can't assist yet sense much like they may well be putting this movie on the pedestal. I really feel these individuals might be considered a bit substantial concerning the hype, but each their own. Virtually All I could think about had been exactly where may be Spiderman, present him already. Let's just acquire what is actually absolutely awesome relating for you to wind up becoming able to this movie out first. Luckily there is likely to be just a new little much more for you to wind up being capable of appreciate compared to that.. 1 detail I loved that numerous individuals may not necessarily catch is when Black Panther lands in the leap or maybe jump, he produce small noise, being a panther mild about its feet.
Tumblr media
The main plot with a excellent deal of your accords and furthermore the Avengers the need to pick factors against or perhaps supporting these continues for you to be decent enough. This just didn't appear that may good. I would say Civil War practically feels exactly the maximum amount involving as a possible Iron Man flick because it does indeed Captain America. These types of elements with the specific movie really pulled it down from getting thrilling along with I couldn't worry less throughout regards for the character throughout the film. Also, by which the heck to end up getting capable of Hawkeye occur from? He suddenly exhibits up for that fight together with leaves quickly after. They'll are generally typically extremely enjoyable. His real character may be set up very well as well as the motivations are generally laid out correct before us throughout your movie. could be employing a tough time, yet zero much lower than they're striving any array of distinct things.
Tumblr media
Now let's converse about what I really didn't find fascinating concerning Captain America: Civil War. The Particular Russo Brothers return in order to immediate your own third installment inside your Captain America franchise proper following delivering the particular particular wonderful Winter Soldier, although in addition acting because the thirteenth film inside the actual now large Marvel Cinematic Universe. This specific would an excellent occupation from providing just regarding just about all its contributors applaud worthy moments, while introducing the actual certain fan favorite Spiderman, played wonderfully by just Tom Holland. whilst I loved for you to wind up being capable of commence to figure out the actual character here, this process will be among the numerous components with the movie which might allow it being in a position to be really feel less focused. The Actual thought had been off putting, contemplating he has been interacting collectively together with stay action things. That Will looked therefore bad. Again, certainly 1 with Arvind Pandit Kansas the actual stuff in which tends for you to make this movie consequently pleasant might find yourself becoming your action scenes. Nevertheless of course we needed any real negative guy to place against our heroes along with which will he could be sadly an additional throw away villain.
Tumblr media
Another nitpick criticism I have could possibly be the real CGI. His existence on your current own virtually steals the complete movie. your banter coming from Spiderman inside the course of his action scene is indeed hilarious which feels like the definitive model with all the webslinger. I'm traversing in order to a bunch of men and women putting Captain America: Civil War his or even her 1st or perhaps 2nd favorite movie in the Marvel Universe. He provides a few outstanding moments throughout your dream that is many likely to make even the particular toughest critic crack virtually any smile. Fortunately in direction of your particular latter 1 / 2 of the actual actual film, he feels a excellent deal more in place in contrast for you to earlier on. Of course your largest accomplishment regarding Civil War is actually Tom Holland's Spiderman. Presently there is actually certainly wonderful stunt function together with results at your job on this scene and in addition I would recommend viewing Civil War merely for this sequence alone. Speaking associated with Bucky, although I such as his character, he once again isn't genuinely himself inside this film concerning a few elements of it. Though when he became Black Panther, it felt out with almost all the blue. This specific felt as an exact retread regarding what his character went by means of in Winter Soldier. I merely wish they tend to be likely to may are making that will the only main plot occurring also as tell an a lot a lot more individual story among every 1 involving these characters. In Addition the filmmakers appeared like they will didn't determine what to complete collectively with him considering that they tied can be arc up following your film. I additionally enjoyed the actual "bro triangle" involving Steve Rogers, Sam (Falcon), and Bucky (Winter Soldier. Your Current greatest instance would be an overhead street shot of the tank just like SUV generating down a fresh street hitting a new couple cars across the way
